The Act requires that they let you "inspect and copy" the records
that respond to your request (except, of course, for the records the Act
allows them to keep from you).
In fact, you want a copy. Generally they will make the copies for you
and charge you the copy and search costs. If they don't want to make the
copies, they have to let you do it. This does not mean, however, that
you have to bring your own Xerox machine. See the June,
