RE: 1603 Claremont Avenue

Dear Dr. Jamison:

In response to your kind letter of January 29, 1999, Building Commissioner Cooper called me. I made an appointment for him to meet the Safety Committee of the Bellevue Civic Association at 5:00 p.m. today, at 1603 Claremont.

In light of my history with Mr. Cooper ( he stood Winnie Cobb and me up on Veterans’ Day), I sent him the confirming letter I have reproduced below. Nonetheless he did not appear at our meeting today. If you will point your browser to http://www2.cybercities.com/b/bellevue, you will see the Safety Committee and the CoCaptains of Team A of the Bellevue Neighborhood Patrol as they looked after they had waited 30 min in the rain for Mr. Cooper.

It is clear that working with Mr. Cooper is a sterile exertion. On behalf of the Committee, I ask that you identify an evening when you will be available to meet with us (and with Bill Johnson if he can be available) to discuss this matter.

Please call me at 786-4073 (work) or 264-5942 (home) if I can answer any question about this request.

With best wishes I am

Sincerely,

John R. Butcher
