Bill Presson, who took these photos, titled this one "Creek erosion uncovers relic
from previous civilization." In fact, this may or may not be part of the City's
failed sewer system. In any event, the water here, just west of Crestwood, is gray,
and even in January it carries the unmistakable aroma of sewage. The rocks grow the
long tendrils of algae that are characteristic of anthropogenic oxygen demanding wastes
(i.e., sewage) in the stream.
Many of the kids in Bellevue play in this creek.
