For you data hounds, we have the City's fecal data on Princeton Creek going back to July, 1995.  The whole set is reproduced below.

To graph these, we had to do some simplifying:  The zero values will not plot on a log scale (and they won't submit to a geometric mean), so we replaced all the zeros and missing data with ones.  When a fecal count goes off the top they report it as Too Numerous To Count (TNTC).  Depending on the dilutions they are running, that could be >1,600, >16,000, or >160,000.  The City reports a few data in the tens of thousands, so we expect they are running the dilution that would expand the scale to 160,000.  Not being sure, we compromised and replaced all the TNTC's with 16,000.  Finally, where there were several data points in a month, we averaged them (geometric mean).  The result ("Pope" represents the southside pipe under Crestwood Road (left pipe in the photo); "Crestwood" is the Northside pipe):

This appears to show an annual cycle with a cold-weather minimum and a warm-weather maximum.  It also looks like things got better in '96 (the sewer lining, perhaps) and have deteriorated since.

If you want to draw your own conclusions here are the data, transcribed from the City's reports:
