We're keeping a visual history of 1603 during the pendency of the suit.  Here is the west end in June, '99 while one of the abandoned cars still was there.

Here is the west end on Oct. 31, 1999, after the City had filed suit and shortly after work began on the west end of the building (note the removed siding).  Reminder: Someone scraped and primed the side by the driveway during November 1998.

Here is the same view on November 6, 1999.

On the afternoon of Nov. 21 a nice young man named Carl (missed the last name) was at work on the siding.  He said he will be living in the place.  His progress is evident:

Over Thanksgiving weekend, Carl had a worker starting the siding on the second floor:

On Dec. 5 they had completed the siding upstairs in the front, except for the windows.  Carl said he would have two folks working to complete the siding during the week.

On Dec. 18 the siding was pretty much complete except for the window frames.  Carl reported that the roof had not needed much work.  They also were at work inside.  Outside, the gutters were yet to be installed.

Over New Years weekend Carl got the gable end done and got the first coat of primer on the doorway.  Looks a world better.

As of April 26, 2000 the trash in the back yard was gone.  Still no progress on the windows or gutters.  Yard is OK but the Dogwood looks to be distressed.

The left end of the roof also looks to need some attention.

On the weekend of June 18, 2000, Carl was back priming the woodwork.  It got to looking pretty good.  Of course, the gutters and roof remain to be fixed.
